The Brew, a three piece Blues Rock band from Grimsby with Members Jason Barwick, Kurtis Smith and Tim Smith, Their debut Cd entitled "The Brew" is now released on the Uk's largest Independent record Label, Blues Matters, a record deal "The Brew" completed in January 2006. The album very much in the Blues/Rock field of Driving Riffs and awesome guitar playing blended from Hendrix, Zeppelin and with influences from Kula Shaker. The Cd was aired on National Dutch Radio along with a Live set ahead of their European dates this April. The track "Mermekes" has been aired on BBC Radio 2 and Q Channel

At The Start of the Year The Brew recieved their first award for Best Band 2006/7 from Its Only Rock n Roll magazine, followed closely by a successful appearance at this years Rock and Blues Festival at Butlins, Skegness. The Brew opened the Saturday event along with fellow artists including, Wilko Johnson, Dr Feelgood, The Hamsters and many other Top National and International Artists. In the Words of the Promoters "they received the longest standing ovation of the day!"

This year will see the Brew Headline at The Rock and Blues Custom Show at Pentrich in Derby on July 28th on the Cross Piston Stage, Saturday Night, Closing the Whole Festival. This Festival regularly attracts some 60,000 people over its 3 days. This Years Main Stage Headliners, will be The Scorpions. Having just returned from their 3rd tour of Holland completing Festival commitments they have been scheduled by Dutch Promoters to Headline at The Prestigious Rotterdam Music Festival, Maasboulevard, in June 2007 and the Kabaal Festival in Scheidam, in september. Later in August The Brew will appear at the UK's largest Blues festival in Colne. They will be on the British Stage on Sunday August 26th.

Included in 2006 extensive tour dates was The Rock N Blues Custom Show festival at Pentrich nr Derby 27th - 30th July. Fellow artists at this event include The Damned, The Quireboys, UFO, Vixen, Graham Bonnet plus many others. This year some 45,000 people attended this 3 day event. The Band closed the Friday night ( 28th July) session. Such was the reception of the Capacity crowd at the Cross Piston stage, some 5,000, that the organisers asked The Brew to do a return gig the day after, on the Saturday, in between the Scheduled slots for The Damned and The Quireboys. Something that has never been asked of any band in the 25 years the event has been running. Once again they played to a capacity crowd of 5,000 such was the response and interest in the Band.
