Difficult to categorise, but impossible to resist, Whiskycats' blend of funk, disco, skiffle, jazz, house and Latino grooves is enough to make any audience dance, sing and smile. Formed in Manchester in April 2004, the band have cemented their status as one of the most exciting and original live acts in the North West with gigs across the country.

MATTHEW WHITAKER - Guitar & Vocals.

SAM DRAPER - Drums.

PIERS MOTH - Bass Guitar & Double Bass.

FELIX HUGHES - Saxophone & Percussion.

DAVE CHAPMAN - Trumpet & Percussion.

The New Year has brought more opportunities. The band has recorded two new songs at LIPA studios, based at the performing arts college in Liverpool, and from February are also getting a weekly show on LIPA's radio station, broadcast across Liverpool and on-line. Over the past few months Whiskycats have also been recording footage to be edited into their first proper music video for Contradictions, which should be available via You Tube in late February. March will see their most ambitious gig to date, as Whiskycats aim to sell out the 800 capacity Manchester Academy 2 venue. They will also embark on their first trips to Pontefract, Sheffield, York and Hull, raising the bands profile Further Still within the unsigned scene.
