 | Alexandra Martin is an innovative and powerful British singer songwriter. Her influences are broad and eclectic. She produces a rounded, expressive mix of compositions incorporating an extensive vocal range and musical ability. After many years of working in duos, trios and bands, including childhood hero Boston guitarist Gary Pihl. Alexandra trained formally and in the field with renowned teachers such as Carol Grimes (Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club) and Adam White (Sheffield University)
Having always wanted to produce her own sound, Alex decided to go solo, concentrating on writing, performing and producing new material. (Her first release is 'Rebirth', a recording consists of three tracks, to chill out and revive you. 'Tease', an earthy tight bluesy tune was the most fun to write and started life as a sample based funky dance tune, here she is in unplugged form. 'Fly', in a bluesy/gospel style refreshing and inspriing. Elvie was inspired by a friend, a very talented musician herself.
