The Alice Syndrome started life as a two piece recording only band called groovhead ,with George on keys and synths and strange noises and Darin on all things with strings, groovhead realised they wanted to play live so set about recruiting strange people to make strange noises, first came captain Cornish on riddum guitar and boz on lead ,boz had to return to his home planet but still keeps in touch and matty dread drummer ,after boz left we took dna from matty dread and grew his older brother will groover on lead and gliss guitar ,and so groovhead became the Alice Syndrome which further evolved with the addition of jez bubba lishush our newest lady vocalisation person ,and so it continues to grow and evolve ,.the band are keenly political, involving themselves in a range of issues ,most notably the thornborough henges protest ,alice were closely involved with the organisation and running of the recent thornborough henges festival. to the plight of the bonobo monkeys in the congo .our most recent project  is the raising of awareness concerning autism in mainstream society ,musically very difficult to pigeonhole as each of the members brings their own unique flavour to the overall sound but possibly distant cousins to planet gong ,the here and now band,  hawkwind ,with a hint of hillage for good measure ,as one young witness to our last show said ;your the Alice Syndrome aren't you ?its a bit weird inn it ?.and he was right ,it is .darin
